About
I became interested in photography as a teenager using a camera to capture disappearing steam locomotives around the world including East Germany, Turkey, India and South Africa. 10 years later in 1980 my photographic style had changed producing more creative and pictorial images and I started entering National and Internation Photographic Exhibitions. I joined the RPS and eventually gained my Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in 1993 after a number of failures.
Rather than just collecting letters after my name these qualifications stimulate/develop my work and give me goals to work for.
Having sat on "L", "A" and "F" distinction panels for the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and help run RPS and Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) advisory days I enjoy helping online others develop their own photographic skills working towards various photographic distinctions.
I am an approved PAGB National and International judge and have also judged online international Photographic Society of America (PSA) exhibitions for clubs in Ireland. I have also enjoyed judging for clubs in Australia and Norway.
